Timeless principle

Let the physical form of the medium express the promise.

The idea

Turn an athlete’s physical reach into a picture of possibility.

Why it works

The shape of the poster is the idea. Jordan’s outstretched arms determine a panoramic frame that gives the viewer a bodily sense of his reach. The widely spaced title extends that feeling across the page. A short William Blake quotation makes the leap from anatomy to ambition, with Nike quietly signing the thought below. This is an image built to live on a wall: immediate at a distance, rewarding up close, and complete without a product demonstration.

Power Is Nothing Without Control

Pirelli · 1994 · Classic Print

Each turns an athlete’s body into a visual argument: reach expresses possibility, while footwear makes control visible.
